Hi Tom,

If you have a pc with midi hook it up and use Midi-Ox to view the midi messages. I found the A-80 Service manual at www.synfo.nl

You can try a factory reset which also accesses the test mode. Remember it will wipe all the custom settings in memory. To enter test mode: While holding the 1st, 3rd, and 4th buttons under the display, press channel then press any cursor button. Yeah I've got 6 arms too... He, he.

If it actually component failure I would check IC1 and IC2 (74LS03)on the Jack-B board. The midi out signal comes from the CPU to these gates. The connectors and cable could be suspect too. With 4 midi out jacks one or more should work if it was bad solder connections there. They shouldn't all fail at once.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
