Vintage Synth Repair

I  don't have any roland gear so recently picked up a JX10 - kinda beat with a few dirty key contacts, no aftertouch, etc.
The LFO modulation works as it should but the mod lever wasn't working so I took it apart to take a look.
I was surprised to see that it's just an N.O. switch and not a pot as on most other synths.


The switch does something odd on the meter though; when I closed it reads 0 ohms, but shortly rises to ~500k ohms.
Combined with the mod delay settings it's pretty much like have no switch at all.
Has anyone seen anything like this before?
