Vintage Synth Repair

Hi guys,

I am trying to store SYS-EX... patch dumps from my gear onto disk via my Ensoniq SD-1.

I've had no problems with my other synth modules - Oberheim etc... but today I tried a SYS-EX 'dump' from a Roland SPD-20 drum pad and it didn't work.

It all starts OK... but the counter only goes up to "19" (usually it's a lot more!) and stops whilst the SPD keeps dumping - ie: doesn't say it's finished - at this point the SD-1 freezes.

No button presses exit the page and I have to turn the synth off and on again!

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas..?
