Re: [vintagesynthrepair] Oberheim DX/DMX switches

I cannot remember how these switches looked like, but possibly these are identical to the switches used in the Xpander and DPX-1.
Originally these were manufactured by Marquard and the company still exists.
6425.1101 is compatible w/ Xpander p.ex. (I exchanged one in my Xpander) ...

Open the DX, measure the dimensions of the switch and the pin layout,- then download the Marquardt catalogue.
They have a lot of switches and caps in different sizes, colors, w/ numbers, arrows and so on.

Site is in german and english.

good luck

:-)

Hello everyone;

I recently got an Oberheim DX that was obviously partly cannibalized.
Surprisingly, most of the functions still work. However it lacks a few of
the drum switches (including the caps).
So I'm looking for a source for about 10 switches. I believe those are the
same as in the DMX. It would probably be possible to retrofit different
switches but naturally I would like to keep it as close as possible to the
original state.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Malte
