Thanks for the advice,

However, it appears that this EG behavior is a feature -
Rise up the Initial Level pot of each oscillator and they will play
without using the keyboard...

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
