Vintage Synth Repair

Hi, I just found and joined this group today.  I'm retired and living  
in deep southern Illinois.

I have this Wurlitzer Model 575 organ in blonde that I need to  
service and most likely refinish.  The servicing for a few keys that  
aren't working without wiggling and replacing one of the footpedals.   
I've got the footpedal coming from Morelocks and I have the service  
manual for it.

And there lies the rub.  While the manual appears quite good with  
disassembly once you have the topcap off, it doesn't talk about the  
topcap at all.  My model is a Theater Organ style and the topcap is  
one piece.  I have the big backboard off and 4 screws removed from a  
smaller board on the back that is part of the topcap.  So the topcap  
is loose and wobbly.  But I can't get it to come off.

Any Wurlitzer gurus that can help me with what has to be something so  
simple I'll feel like a complete moron when you point it out to me?  <G>
