It's likely to be an issue with Roland's active sensing messages. A good way to test this is to run the TX802 directly from the Roland keyboard controller - problems is there form what you said. Then, run it via a computer running some software that can filter out active sensing - I would expect the problem to go away. I've had similar problems myself in the past!
