Rich @ Route 66 We have new 2006 replacement drives for the SQ80, but they will require DSDD 720K floppy disks as the SQ80 only has a double-sided, double-density FDC controller chip on board. Unfortunately, this can never be changed. But... I have known SQ80 users to use HD 1.44 MB disks by performing the 'tape over the hole' trick. http://www.route66studios.com/ -----Original Message----- From: maschinengeist001@... I'd like to be able to be able to read/write HD 3.5" 1.44 Mo floppies instead of the default DD on my ensoniq SQ-80. Is that possible? And do I have to mess with the OS codes? If so, how can I do that? Thanks in advance guys ________________________________________________________________________ Check out AOL.com today. Breaking news, video search, pictures, email and IM.
