I had something like that happen to me too!

It was a ground problem from one thing to the next.

If you pop the top off, look at every screw that touches metal.

Tighten all of them! Look again and tighten the rest!

If that don't work contact
steve@...

your amp may need rebuilding.

hi everyone:
i'm new to the board but i'm a long time vintage synth collector and
long time vintage synth player. i have a problem that i'm hoping my
fellow vintage synth enthusiasts can help me with. it's actually a
wurlitzer elec piano problem. i have played and loved my 200a for a long
time but am now finding that every time i touch the front plate i get a
little electrical shock (not really a shock, more of a pop through the
speakers). as well, when i record the board i can hear little crackling
noises throughout the track. i am well versed in the sound the board
makes when a reed is not aligned properly (can't forget that sound too
quickly!) and i know that it's not that. it occurs throughout the range
of the board, leading me to believe that it's something
amplifier-related, perhaps? any help would be greatly appreciated and i
hope to give back whatever information i can to help with other people's
problems and questions.
thanks again,
-J
