Vintage Synth Repair

I can't tell you very much but what I can tell you is the pin out for the
XLR.

 

            Pin 1 = earth or screen

            Pin 2 = Hot lead 1

            Pin 3 = Hot lead 2

Hi
im looking for technical help on my GR700
it has had an xlr socket installed on the back. Pin connections are
looking at the circuit board as follows
Din1 Pin 5 to Pin 3 on XLR
Din1 Pin 4 to Pin 1 on XLR
Din2 Middle Pin to Pin2 XLR
Does anyone know what this mod is? would the eeproms have been updated 
too? also im looking for schematics/service manual if any one has pdf 
they could email over.
Any help would be much appreciated
