RE: [vintagesynthrepair] Roland RD 300s keys won't play

There is a special tool to unlock the key lock at the back of the key.
Sometimes you might be able to bend a heavy paper clip to do the job, but
the actual tool is the best. If you break the lock tab you have a severe
problem the next time you need to remove the keys. You also need to remove
the front key slip from eh piano to remove the keys.

Subject: [vintagesynthrepair] Roland RD 300s keys won't play

I just got a Roland RD 300s from the 1980s on an ebay auction. It is tore
up!
Main problem is some of the keys don't play. Very dusty inside. I can't
figure
out how to dislodge individual keys to clean underneath. Anyone know a
mehod? Anyone familiar with other causes of this problem? Thanks for being
out there.
