I haven't had the hood off yet, and it may be a simple matter, but I thought I'd first throw this out to see if anybody had any easy answers. You see, I was playing my Yamaha CP-25 electronic piano with my band last night when, suddenly, after a small flurry of crackling, it stopped making noise. I tested all the patch cords and came to the conclusion that it was producing no output. Upon cranking the volume and turning to the more piercing harpsichord setting, however, I realized that it is still producing notes, but they are extremely weak. As everybody raves about the reliability and durability of those old Yamahas, I was greatly surprised! So, anybody had anything like this happen or know what's going on? I guess I'll be looking at the preamp section first... P.S. The headphone output is equally weak, I checked that too.
