Thanks
Keith,
I'm in Phoenix, AZ,
and ;I did find one technician listed online. I'm also going
to order a service manual so I can at least learn a little about what
makes it work, since I didn't get an owner's manual with it. The organ's
bottom row of keys hardly make any noise--the lower keys not at all, the top row
can sort of be heard over the humming sound, and some of them sound
out of tune. I took the back off of it this morning just to see what was
inside....looks more complex than my British Sterling car! So guess I
won't be able to do an easy quick fix ;myself since I didn't see
anything 'obvious' that was wrong, i.e. broken or dangling. Thanks again
for your advice.
Judy

Where do you live? It may be a shorted tube or open filter condenser causing
the hum. Try looking at the membership list at www.mitatechs.com and find a
certified technician near you.

Subject: [vintagesynthrepair] Need repair advice
Hi everyone,
I just purchased a Baldwin Orgasonic 71L organ that makes a loud
humming sound and I'm now looking for someone who can help me
diagnose and fix the problem. ; If anyone in this group can help, I
would greatly appreciate it, as I know very little about electric
organs. Thank you for your time :-)
Thanks in advance,
Judy
