I think that there are a few of us that have P3Ks.

I have one of the early ones, but I don't use it that often any more.

Hello, Rob!

Nice to meet you!
I've seen your postings to a former P3K forum. Rob, do you remember how to
do a sample dump to a P3K? Where in the menu, is it RECORD menu or somewhere
else? And what is the preferred program for sample dumps?
I have P3K rev B, 4Mb, serial #138. And more - when I run diagnostics of
sample ram, there are errors reported for the last two memory blocks, is it
normal (i guess because its' only 4Mb, not the 8Mb version)

regards,
Eugene

Hey Eugene,

Yeah that list got moved over here.

It's been a while and this is one of the reasons I don't use the P3K
much. I'd do a midi sample dump to it and then it would crash. But
what you do is make a blank instrument and then send the sample into
it. I don't remember if you had to allocate enough ram for it or not.
It's been just way too long! =8<>

I found that of the things that I tried Alchemy worked the best.

I'm not sure on this. I think I have the 2 meg version. I've never run
in to this one before.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
