SCI's disks

2007-06-07 by n_c630

I was tempted to pick up a few of the discs that Wine Country has for
sale for my prophet 2002. Some of them sound like they could be
interesting.  Anyone have/use them?

about 1/3 of the couple of hundred discs I have are factory discs;
they're pretty good, & demonstrate the flexibility of the machine very
well, so even if you don't use the sounds on them, they're worth
reverse-engineering for programming tips. I also have some third-party
commercially made discs (metro sounds? something like that); somebody
put a lot of work into these things!

duncan.

I just received in the mail yesterday the 5 analog synth disks they
offer online, and they sound and work great.

The MiniMoog disk is OK, but I would have though it we be more
representative of...I don't know. Keith Emerson? There are some cool
sounds on that disk, however.

Yes, I think these disks are a good deal.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
