if you can find it, a very early version of soundforge (from wa-a-ay before sony had anything to do with sonic foundry) supported creating 12-bit files & had a specific mention of the SCI samplers in it's pull-down export menu. I tried it a few times, but it took so damn long that I went back to sampling the noises directly into the machine. I actually found this more rewarding. there's no real benefit to exporting the files off a computer since the only two ways into the machine for a file are midi-sample-dump (tedious) or floppy disc (proprietary); better to play thjem out into the line-in if you have a decent soundcard. duncan.
