Hello

Hi all,

Thanks a lot for accepting me in the group.

I just got a Polysix in almost mint condition.. Almost, because I got it at the exactly right moment: the battery had just started leaking (only one of the batteries own solder points is affected).

Hugely inspired by chippaudettes's blog, I am about to start a very similar endavour (have a used Fatar keybed lying around at home anyway) with adding Velocity and Aftertouch to my P6. While I have some experience with modding synths (http://karg-music.blogspot.com), this will be my among my most complex projects so far, and I am looking forward to very interesting and fruitful discussions :)

Best,

Karg / Timm

I'm going to guess that your P6 had the battery replaced some number of years ago.  Most of these synths had the batteries blow out on them at least ten years ago.  I bought my P6 in 1998 and the battery had been replaced and many pcb tracks had been jumpered.

Nope :) Original battery and the pcb is only affected directly at one of the the soldering points (I almost did not see the leakage, so little was it).

That's amazing.  You should buy a lotto ticket or go to Las Vegas!
