Schematics of voice board

Schematics of voice board

2001-08-24 by TooManySynths

I have a polysix that I have chosen to disassemble as
it has been damaged by battery leaking. I would like
to do something intersting with the main voice board.
Does anyone have schematics of the voice board on line
somewhere?

I have read several messages on line that imply the P6
has "vco's" I was under the impression that the
oscilators were digital. If, in fact, they are
analogue, is it possible to access the CV inputs for
them ?

What I am thinking is that with a few pots and a paia
midi-cv board plus some additional parts I could make
a fairly simple polyphonic midi module that sounds
like a polysix (sans patch memory of course).

Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Daryl

If you want to make your Polysix "whole" again, someone rebuilds damaged
boards for a reasonable price. Old Crow is his name (real is Scott), site
is at http://www.oldcrows.net/~oldcrow/synth/korg/polysix/index.html

I should know, he returned my beloved PolySix to working order after it
being out of commish for 6 years (couldn't find a tech who could
successfully fix it). The battery leak damage is almost exclusive to a
single board, the KLM-367, where the battery resides. You send your
damaged board to him. He either sends back your board or one that he had
repaired from a previous p-6.

He did this a year ago for me, so I am not sure what his current charge
would be. I highly recommend it however.

Scott is in the US and has helped me out in the past. Well recommended.
If you are in the UK you can use my service. The price is normally
around 100UKP for the board rebuild.

Try http://www.analoguesamples.com/manuals.asp on page 03. I haven't
looked at the schems, but that's what the label says they are.

The Owners Manual is on page 01.

Good luck!
