triggering the arpeggiator from a PC soundcard?

triggering the arpeggiator from a PC soundcard?

2004-07-15 by comraderecords

Is it possible to trigger the arpeggiator from a PC soundcard using
a standard audio signal? I'm using a Quattro soundcard, sending a
drum loop (audio, not midi) via a standard guitar cable. Doesn't
seem to work. Am I missing something?

Thanks!

Ben.

By sending it just a kick drum at a constant level (rather than the
whole drum track as I was trying before.) So, I just programmed the
kick drum in Cubase's sequencer, bounced it to an audio track,
change the output of the channel to 'bus 2', and a standard
instrument cable out of my soundcard (output 3 or 4) into the
trigger in on the polysix.

Interestingly the external trigger tempo wont control the speed of
the light on the polysix.

That LED is part of the internal arp. clock circuit and cannot see the
external trigger.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
