Legacy Software

Has anyone had a chance to check out the Korg Legacy Software yet?
Just curious if I should start saving my pennies. $500.00 for a MS20,
a PolySix & a Wavestation sounds like a pretty good deal...

Nope but all the mags are reviewing them at the moment (Sound on Sound and
Future Music). They seem to be quite complementary. Two points the stuck in
my mind is:

1) whilst the MS20 only sounds 90% authentic, the other 10% is not necessarily
worst and in some respects, it better.
2) The software PolySix sounded 'fatter' then the reviews hardware version.

I am curious to have a go but would still love a real MS20!

see you

Hi, I've already bought it. It sounds fantastic! I can't really
comment on how faithfully it reproduces the originals (I've got a P6
and an MS10), because I just haven't had time to test it properly. I'm
trying to 'convert' some old P6 presets to Legacy for a comparison.
The mini MS20 looks VERY cool, but is also very funtional for direct
'knob' editing (..er so to speak...).

Cheers

I've tried it and it's really OK! I can't say exactly how good the
emulation of MS20 and Wavestation are (because I doesn't have the hardware
to compare it with), but the Polysix sounds *very* genuine. I've recreated
some patches on the plugin for a A-B comparison and the resault was very
simular sounding. Yet the phaser/ensemble function is more noise on a
hardware Polysix. NI have done a neat job emulating the SSM-filters
though.
