The Trident compared to the Polysix, hm you try to compare a big truck
to a pick-up car.

Unfortunately I do not have the service manual of the Trident, so I
cannot tell whether it uses similar circuitry (e.g. filter chips) as
the Polysix. But I think that the basic sound will be very similar.
But be sure that it is a MKII not the Trident without "MK". You can
easily this by the knobs. The MKII has knobs like the Polysix, the
MKI has older style knobs, like the MS and the PS series. The MKI
does not have editing capabilities as we know from the Polysix.
You have to setup each sound from scratch. It has only one EG and
no Attenuator.
Besides this you get a String machine and a Brass machine with
split and layer functions in the same instrument.
If it is a MKII and your car is big enough to carry it - get it!
