Polysix / Vintage Korg email address change.

2019-10-23 by Ben Stuyts

Hello all,

Tomorrow around noon (CEST / UTC+2) I will change the email address of the new list on groups.io from PolySix@VintageKorg.groups.io to maillist@VintageKorg.groups.io. This is to reflect that the new group is a place for all Vintage Korg gear.

There is also another list (annouce@VintageKorg.groups.io) that we will only use for sporadic announcements. If you are one the first list, you will also automatically be on the second one.

An update on the migration: We have now transferred the old PolySix and MonoPoly lists from Yahoo to this new list. We are waiting to hear from other Korg lists if they want to join in.

Please do not use this list at Yahoo anymore, as messages will not be transfered to our new home at maillist@VintageKorg.groups.io.

Ben

Aren’t you a bit afraid that something called “maillist” will automatically end up in the spam folder for many people? I would vote for calling it VintageKorg, not just an alias.

I have a BellSouth email address. BellSouth was purchase by ATT a long time ago but our email addressing didn’t change. ATT uses Yahoo mail servers. Sometimes Yahoo puts emails from themselves in the spam folder. Just saying...

Spammers usually do not unveil, that they are sending in masses. They definitely will not use a sender like maillist. (In fact the only spam that is not covered by my spam filter are the advertisments for mass mail services).
