Discussion about the Korg PolySix synthesizer

I'm still very confused.
Does the Polysix have one oscillator or six? everywhere I read they 
say it has one VCO (=voltage controlled oscillators) and then the 
next sentence is usually something like "you can stack the 6 
oscillators together for great unison sound".
So what is it then: 1 or 6?
If it is 6, do you have any control on the parameters of the 
individual oscilators? (I know you have it with monopoly - you can 
control the waveshape, tuning etc.)

it's one oscillator per voice for the polysix.  each voice has it's own vco and vcf, although they all share a common fx unit.  you can stack them to get thicker sounds (unison mode all 6 voices stack, each slightly detuned, or chord mode)  

No, you do not have individual control on the various voices.  The knobs you twist affect all 6 voices (hopefully) the same.

Finally I understand now!
There are 6 osc, but they share common VCO and VCF controls. There 
are 6 oscillators because that's the only way to make TRUE polyphony 
where each pressed key triggers a sound with the programmed envelope.
