I would say that depends on the situation. If the board holds switches,
flexible jumpers won't provide any rigidity as the switches are pressed or moved.
If the rigidity isn't needed, then wire jumpers are fine.
If it's a power supply board with nice thick traces running over the crack,
then the resistance of a jumper wire might be a factor.
