KR55B Triggering question

Hey long (enough) time no see. So I have one fully functioning (seems to be - more or less) P6 now (hurrah ..finally). But i'm having an odd problem with it - I hooked up my KR55B just to check it out - and now find that it's only triggering each bar rather than 'per beat'. Is this adjustable somewhere? I can find nothing in either manual about how this is supposed to go work or where it can be adjusted. Or am I looking at a glitch/defect? thanks
