Poly Mode Issue

Poly Mode Issue

2016-01-17 by l3en0it@yahoo.com

Every note I play whether it be C1 or C4 plays the same noise in poly mode(and its a high pitched ringing noise at that). Any thoughts? All input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

check your ground connections at the power pcb.

Sounds like the typical battery leakage syndrome... the leaked electrolyte shorts out various functions, takes out vias and even traces which messes up the overall sound.  I helped a guy sort his out, all the defective traces were already jumpered etc., but he neglected to clean off the battery residue and that was enough to mess up the sound and gave the same symptoms you describe - went away soon as it was properly cleaned.  Could be the same issues with your machine, first you have to check for leakage and cleanup if so, then start troubleshooting any damaged connections....

Others may do, but I can't give any comment unless I have heard what you
are trying to describe. Could you post an audio example. Please play 12
times the same note but always with a short pause inbetween.

To check whether it is really only in poly mode, set up a chordmemory
but with only one note stored as "chord".
