Hello, k was just wondering what kind of program that is that's uploaded to the file section made by "johannes" that correlates to the .P6 library files in there? Are These sysex files for a modded polysix? Also, in the day were there a lot of commercial patches available for sale for polysix? Any synth cookbooks? Just wondering if anyone has a warehouse of them somewhere.

The .P6 files are a file format I defined for my MIDI upgrade for the Polysix. It provides a patch name additionally to the patch data. Additionally to the MIDI upgrade and the provided patch editor/librarian I made a librarian working with the Polysix's tape interface. It records the tape interface output with the computer and lets you save patch sets, combine patches from originally different patch sets, print patches, etc. It works with the stock Polysix (no upgrade or modification is necessary). It is available for download in the files section of the list. Funningly, there was great demand for such an application. Then I made it. After that I only heard of two or three people finding it useful... Well, I had my fun with it. Recently I added import/export capabilities for the virtual Polysix (VST). I invested quite some time but the patches do not sound 100% the same on the real Polysix when compared to the virtual one, but it comes close. Have fun, Johannes

Johannes, that is amazing. So you are saying that you can make a patch on the Korg Polysix VST and then export it to the real polysix using your program? Does the most recent edition have this feature? I was trying to mess with the iPolysix today. It does sound good, but there is no midisync, not even to the arpegiattor or internal sequencer. Almost makes it pointless. I never tried the PC version. I am going to experiment in the coming weeks. One thing I noticed is that when I program patches from the "factory patch sheets" they don't always sound like you would expect them to on my system. I mostly use Mac, so next time I fire up my PC, I will play with it.

Once I turn it on I try to play a note in poly mode it doesn't work properly. It throws a high pitched whine like the freq envelope is has a slow attack. It somewhat works in unison mode, as it sounds like the voices are stacking but it doesn't have to proper tone. All voice / envelope chips work as well.. I really want to get this synth back to life if anyone can give me an idea of what to do to diagnose it I would greatly appreciate it.
