tuning issue / where is VR2, VR14, and VR15?

tuning issue / where is VR2, VR14, and VR15?

2013-09-25 by <wbkennedy1@gmail.com>

Hello kind polysix users!

I am having tuning issues with my poly6... ive replaced the optocoupler and resistor and replaced ic16 with a new tl072 chip, but the keyboard is still having the same scaling issues as before. As I go through the manual for tuning it, I keep on reading about VR2, 14 and 15 and on the schmatic for klm-366 I see these pots, but i dont have them on my board... what is going on? I have vr1, vr3, vr4, and vr5 on klm366 and I have another VR1 on daughterboard KLM-396A. Here are some pictures of my board so you can get a better idea:

Ive tried everything to get this thing to be reasonably intune, but some octaves are always up to a forth out of tune...

any insights? Thanks yall!

Hi

I'm just starting to troubleshoot my own unit so I cant claim I know anything. But when one have already done everything and it still don't work I usually start from scratch again.

What voltage do you on pin7 IC18 ? (next to the PC1 optocoupler)

Re: [PolySix] tuning issue / where is VR2, VR14, and VR15?

If you have the widely circulating service manual (the one from the file
section) you'll find the correct tuning instructions for your board (which
is the older one). The addendum in this manual also gives the revised
tuning procedure for the new board (which also explains in part what the
other pots are doing then).

The Polysix went through two major different revisions for the voice board.
The one with the daughter board is the old revision.
