MG VCO, Pitch Wheel and MSTR tuning problem

MG VCO, Pitch Wheel and MSTR tuning problem

2013-05-27 by atoneontail

Hey gents,

I am about 3 months in with my new PolySix and super excited to be owning one. I am by no means of engineer so I was hoping I could turn to the experts here for some help.

My problem is that I am not getting any modulation in the MG section with the switch on the VCO. The VCA and VCF MG work just fine. I am also not experiencing any changes when using the pitch wheel, or changing the master tuning knob position.

I feel maybe i must of touched one of the VR's during tuning that has disabled these because I vaguely remember it working when I first received my Polysix.

Any help would be much appreciated, I miss my vibrato!

On KLM-367 check on connector CN-06:
- pin1: the LFO wave going out to the control panel and wheels
- pin2: the attenuated LFO wave / Pitch Wheel control voltage coming
back from control panel and wheels

On KLM-367 CN05:
- pin13: the pitch control voltage to the KLM-366 board. This includes
the programmed VCO modulation, the Mod Wheel, Pitch Wheel, and Tune
knob.

Maybe there is some discontinuity or opamp IC8 has a problem. You have
to trace the signal; can be done with DVM, no oscilloscope necessary.

I hope this helps,

Johannes
