Octave Switch not working. Need a little bit of help to locate the problem.

Hey guys,

I have a problem with my beloved Polysix. The Octave switch died. My Polysix was repaired years ago from battery leakage. It worked flawlessly untill this day so I don't think the problem are after-effects from the battery disaster.

I replaced the complete Switch Board with a spare part but the problem was still there.

Then I checked at IC28 on board KLM367 if the Switch responds and gives the appropriate voltage settings. Everything is OK!

I also checked the cable which runs from KLM367 with connector 5 to KLM366. Seems fine.Nothing is loose.

Now I'm a little bit lost in locating the problem.
It would be great If you guys can give me some tips.

Greeetings from Germany,
Stefan

Does the Waveform switch work?

Is it both in Manual mode and saved patches?

There might be the connection on KLM-367 to connector CN06/pin3
interrupted. You can check with a beeper or Ohmmeter: KLM-369/Octave
Switch/middle pin to KLM-367/IC31/pin6.

Hey Johannes,
jeverything on the Polysix works except this OctaveSwitch. Waveform Switch is OK. I can change waveforms.

Thanks for the tipp. I will check this.

Greetings,
Stefan

Check if the signals from KLM-367/IC28/pin3 ans 9 arrive at KLM-366/IC6/
pin1 and pin39. This is how the Programmer MCU tells the Key Assigner
MCU how to set the octave.

Good luck!
