Problems KLM-367 clone

Problems KLM-367 clone

2012-06-20 by tuk88@rocketmail.com

Hi everybody !

First of all, I would like to thank's Jed and all the team for the good job done !

I purchased the clone PCB some month ago and I assembled the board these last weeks. I try it but, unfortunely, the P6 has some probs :

1) At the start, the MG LED blink slowly and goes faster until to stay up.

2) The programmer knobs don't respond.

3) I try to calibrate the P6, but without the 56k resistor plug on the power supply board, the LED 5 and 8 are alight.

4) In test mode, the programmer knobs respond

5) I think, there is no sound change when I play with the different knobs (sorry I'm just an electronician guitarist who like to fix up some hold stuff =) )

My differents readings of these group let me think that the problems 2 and 3 come from the DAC08. Regarding the MG LED, I don't really know because I fixed the 2 bugs on the PCB board.

So before trying to fix all these issues, I've just some questions :

- Is it really necessary to fill the metallized vias ?

- Is there a procedure to check the good functions of the board with the different test points ?

Thank's a lot for the help

Lucas

All Polysix you see on my site have been repaired and works well without
this card clone should just be patient to restore this card

Hi Lucas,

Maybe you could post some closeup photos of the new board on the web
somewhere we can see them. That way we can see if there is any obvious
problem. No, the vias do not need to be filled.

Which capacitor did you use for C23, the 10p or the 22p? You may have a
clock stability problem and should probably try both.

Most functions should work reasonably well even before calibration so I
would check proper component placement and make sure all pins are soldered.

Thank's for your answer !

@philippe.69 :

I'm french. I'll check your website ;) I fixed the 2 first bugs (regarding R98 and R52). What did you mean by : "Viewing ic 30.31, 21 can not be good" ?

@backshall1 : I've got a 22pF capacitor. Here can you find some pictures :

May it be possible for someone to give me a little functionnal schematic of the KLM-367 ? I really want to know how this board works.

I noticed the "Test" switch is in backwards, so when you move the switches
towards "Norm", it will be in Test mode.

And 10p for C23 on the clone boards seems to work better for clock
stability.

Wow ! Thank's a lot ! Everything work fine !

Just cause a noobie mistake...

The 10p give more stability, that's right ;)

Thank's a lot !
