arpeggiator stopped working

hi there!

yesterday arpeggiator stopped working on my p6. the led flashes and i can change speed of it's blinking etc. the problem is, that it doesn't drive the notes. what can be wrong?

Hi check the triger arpegio switch it in on the back panel of p6

there are only 2 switches on backpanel hi/low regarding to tape interface

Check the ARP TRIGGER IN socket at back make sure it's not shorted?? - stick a jack into it and out again - perhaps could be why cos it's 'stuck' on the first 'clock'.? maybe not but worth a try

Hi, open her and measure with a DVM on CN17. On both pins 1 and 4 you
should see the trigger pulses. It is not very unlikely that, like Paul T
assumed, the connection via the ARP Trig In jack is broken.
If you get the pulses on pin 4 but not on pin 1, this is the case.
If you get the pulses on both pins then the fault is on KLM-366, maybe
IC3.
If you do not get any pulses, the problem lies probably on KLM-371 or
the connection to KLM-366.

hey. i was able to exchange both boards from my working polysix. still nothing. arpeggiator was not working. forgot to menton - that non working polysix has factory midi installed

The oscillator for the arp is on the front panel board and feeds into the keyboard scan cpu. If the arp stops working check the 555 on the front panel board.

i did it already, also exchanged IC3 in key assigner. after that i've used panel pcb and 366 from my my other polysix that works perfectly. and still nothing, arp is not working. i'm thinking if it's not factory midi fault?

I guess thats possible. Dont know how the factory midi hooks in. The 555 generates an interrupt in the key assigner that advances to the next note if the arp is enabled.

even with just a DMM you should be able to tell if you are getting pulses at the interrupt

input to the key assigner CPU.
