Portamento on the Polysix? / Blue Led+Clear Wheels

Love the sound, love all the features - it's easily one of the best analogs for the price. However I do wish it had portamento sometimes, in unison/chord (solo all same notes) mode it would be the icing on the cake. I saw something about a portamento mod but couldn't work it out if it was just an idea or had been done? I'm ok at building circuits etc so would love to give it a try if it's possible. Also does anyone know about the blue LED illuminated pitch/mod wheel mod I saw a picture of on the net (can't find any details with google) - power reqs and general info would be good.
