Does anyone know where I can find a replacement for the POLY button cover on my Polysix? I've not had much luck finding one.

Hi, This is a very scarce part and I know a lot of people who would like supplies of these themselves (I am one of them!). Your only source is probably going to be a 'beyond repair' Polysix which is breaking for spares. Bare in bind that there are two parts to the switch cap. A coloured top and a frame to which it attaches and holds the LED. If the cap has dropped off then it is more than likely the frame is damaged too. Cheers, Andy

I've seen similar styles of switch from various manufacturers, though I've not yet seen one of suitable dimensions. I always keep a lookout, though. At some point I will have to do a complete overhaul of my PolySix, which is pretty much unusable at this point. I'll post to the list if I manage to find a suitable replacement. I suspect I will end up. I doubt I will be able to find a drop in replacement though.

Hi, I have a scrapped PolySix that I uses as a source for parts when reparing other PolySixes. I have lots of spare buttons/switches, including full sets. Maybe I should make a list of what is left and put it up for sale? Interesting info. The circle POLY button underneath is fully functional and the light is still there in its correct location (and it works too). And it seems to be in some kind of black holder itself. Does that mean my "frame" is OK? This synth is new to me, so I've not had a chance to disassemble it much yet. On the plus side, I did manage to get it to respond to arp triggers in case this of use to someone: http://www.sonicamigos.com/etejkowski/ErickTejkowski/polysixsync/tutorial.html -Erick On May 7, 2009, at 8:44 AM, Andrew Jury wrote: > > This is a very scarce part and I know a lot of people who would like > supplies of these themselves (I am one of them!). Yes yes yes! :-) Just kidding. But indeed I'd be willing to pay what is probably TOO MUCH for such a button, as it's the only thing wrong with mine. I'd even be willing to take the wrong color if the right color button cover was not available. _Erick On May 7, 2009, at 4:59 PM, Terje Winther wrote: > I have a scrapped PolySix that I uses as a source for parts when > reparing other PolySixes. > I have lots of spare buttons/switches, including full sets. > Maybe I should make a list of what is left and put it up for sale? > > Den 7. mai. 2009 kl. 10.43 skrev etejkowski815: > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

All right, this is what is left in my spare PolySix that I uses for parts: - The complete wooden compartment - The complete keyboard (although some keys have damage, like sigarette burns and the like) - The front panel - Most of the buttons and switches - Many (not all) pots - The right PCB (voice card), but WITHOUT any SSM chips - The inside front panel PCBs are still there, including a complete programmer PCB with all buttons There is no power supply, no left hand controllers, no spare knobs anymore, no middle (main) PCB, no chorus PCB, and most of the inner cabling is gone as well. I live in Norway, but will ship worldwide. Have PayPal. If there is anything you need, I can inspect the part(s) and/or take a photo. Offers welcome.
