Anyone know of a way to 'see' your patch settings?

I'm wondering if there is any way to know what the knob/parameter settings are for individual patches? I tried just tweaking each knob a little after calling up the patch, to try to find the spot that resembled the original sound the most, but saving it to a new slot and doing an A/B never got it just right. 

The reason I'm asking is - I want to export my patch settings to use with the Korg Legacy VST Polysix, but it's not any easy thing to do it seems. Anyone have any tips on this? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I can't really give you an exact answer, but I did hear of a program
being written to import patches to the VST. From memory (I don't have my
P6 with me now), the P6 could export patches in the form of encoded
audio to a tape. I read somewhere online that someone was working on a
program to decode this audio on a PC, for translation into a VST patch.

Unfortunately, I can't tell you if the program was ever finished, or who
was writing it.

Hope it helps. Oh, maybe if you find the information, you could post it
back here for others.

Download the Polysix Patch Manager (P6PATCH.ZIP) from the files section of
this list (you need to sign in for access to the Files section). You can
record a tape dump od the patches to the PC and view/print single/multiple
patches among other things.
