KLM 367 replacement - soon :)

Re: KLM 367 replacement - soon :)

Hi Radek,

If you manage to pull this off then that will be a real acheivement.
I too had a look at refrabricating the KLM-367 using the Old Crow's
design, but a small production run would have been prohibitively
expensive! If you arrive at a working model then please put me down
for your first order!

Cheers,
Andy

I'm on-board! (Pardon the pun) what kind of files do the board manu's
need? Can anyone suggest one in the US?

Hello Everyone

The standard file type for PC board fabs are Called Gerbers. The
gerber file has several layers to it. It will have info for each layer
of copper. It will also have info for top and bottom silkscreens, not
to mention drill patterns. In short, all the Cad,Cam info you might
need. There is no easy way to convert from a jpg of a board to a
gerber that I know of. The gerber file basically allows them to insert
raw copper clad board in one end and out comes finished board on the
other end. That having been said, Let me know when the jpg's are ready.
I need to make one.

Archie

Hi there!

Next monday I'm going to my studies so I'll be able to make beta board
on CNC :)

btw... I'm lookin for some details how to calibrate klm 367 and bin
code for nec 8048 chip. Anyone?

Calibration info is in the service manual.

I have the code; have successfully programmed it into 8748 chips (which
are getting scarce, but are still available).
I sell them for $30 plus shipping.

If you want the code, contact me off list & I'll email it to you.

I've added 2 files in 1:1 scale. The PCB is based on Crown's design...
but I'll need verification if everything is ok with the board; you
know connections etc :)

Anyway ENJOI :)

Advanced Circuits (US) has told me that they need dwg or dxf files of
the circuits. Do you have the capability to export in that format?

I've posted this before, but it might be time to repeat:
I have programmed replacements available for the 8048 CPU chips -- $20 each.
I also have the 8049 keyboard controller chips (for the voice board) for
$30 each.

Any news on this clone project yet? I need one too and oldcrow doesn't
seem to answer his emails I have sent. I noticed he had already done
this before and was planning a new 367A that included MIDI on it using
PICS instead of the 8048.

Thanks,
