Bank button

Bank button

2002-05-17 by Ellsworth Hall

Hey all. My Poly's "B" bank button finally stopped working. Had always required multiple pushes to get it to work ever since I got it in '84.

Would some tuner/pot cleaner sprayed into the crevice around the button (with a tube) help? I think it just oxidized to point it won't work right. Can change patches to that bank just fine via MIDI but would like to use it live and use the button.

Any specific product recommendation for the cleaner?

TIA

- Ells

I have yet to find a good enough spray-on cleaner for these buttons.
Full replacement appears to be the best option here. The switches, but
not the switch caps and LEDs, are standard large format SPCO tactile
switches available from most electronics suppliers.

Thanks, Tony. Sounds like the way to go.
