Discussion about the Korg PolySix synthesizer

Hello,

I picked up a polysix today. Ordered it from the states (living in
Ireland).

However when I turn it on, all the lights come on (literally all the
lights, all the programme lights, the key assign lights, tape enabler
etc). when I try to select a preset nothing happens.

Also I am getting no sound out of it. Any ideas?

the easiest fault could be the tape section.
Mayby the last owner saved his works and enabled the tape section.
Switch them to "disabled" and try again.

Make the reset adjustment as described in the service manual.

Yeah, I thought it was the tape section. Tried disabling it but that
did nothing.
It definitely seems like the tape enable is "stuck" on. The output
of the synth is working fine, I know this much.
I am in work now, will try the reset option when I get home.

I can't find in the manual where it says how to reset the synth. Can
anyone tell me how to do this?

I had the same behaviour happening on a Korg Trident MKII I found and
repaired. If I'm not wrong it only takes to readjust a single trimpot
on the controller board.
