Discussion about the Korg PolySix synthesizer

Hello out there.
I just bought a Polysix and it doesn't work as described! Here are
its symptoms:
1) MG speeds up into extreme range upon power up.
2) program buttons 4 and 5 stay lit.
3) From the front panel ONLY arpeggiator and unison/poly/chord
features work. No synth control at all!
It sounds like the EPROM is messed up or its in some sort of secret
mode that it can't get out of.
I checked under the hood, and to my delightful suprise, the battery
had been changed the boards look prettier than my Juno 106!
Any thoughts?

check the boards again. put your reading glasses on/ turn on all the
lights. get the magnifying glass out... you might be surprised at
how many are broken... if one looks suspect, jumper it by holding a
wire on, and see if it helps... just be careful so you don't cook
anything..
