I just grabbed a Polysix from eBay. Sounds fabulous, although there is a pretty significant
noise/interference problem. I opened it to find the blue battery sitting there. Battery
leakage doesn't look too bad.
Can anyone suggest the closest place to Toronto to get the battery replaced?
What do you mean by "too bad" ? Either it has leaked and prossibly
caused damage or not. It doesn't have to affext the noise floor.
I think just about any technician can replace it for you (to convert
to Lithium another compoent has to be replaced)

By not "too bad" I mean there is the beginnings of some crud on the
battery and some slight discolouration on the board near the battery.
However, it isn't anywhere near as bad as the one looks on oldcrow
and the tracers all look pretty good. Also the synth is in perfect
working order except for the amount of noise I am unhappy with.
I hope to find someone to replace the battery asap.

I really recommend doing that "asap" as it sounds like the battery is
starting to leak. Very soon it can go on and damage the entire board.
Replacing it VERY simple for any electronician. Let him follow the
instructions as for converting for Liuthium battery use.
