Can't find any battery holders for the poly at radio shack

Can't find any battery holders for the poly at radio shack

2005-06-07 by Mike

Man -

They don't even list the coin cell battery holder as a stock part in
their catalog.

I even tried de-soldering the 3.5v holder off a used iMac motherboard
and that's too long to fit...

So now, my polysix is out of commission. This battery thing holding me
back. I hope it's not something else. I'm one of those skeptics that
has trouble believeing "it was fine yesterday, why doesn't it work now"

I know it makes me a pain in the ass probably, but that's what it is.
Maybe someone knows another place I can get a holder?

Awesome!

Thanks man, I ordered about 3 of them for the price, I might as well have in
case I break one or something.

Really appreciate the link. Now I can get to work.

Mike

I took some out of old PC motherboards, they fit perfectly (both in
my Trident an Polysix). There are also Lithium battries that
have "legs" connected to them so you can solder them in.
