Here's the run down. There is no manually controllable pulse wave. The saw works as does the PWM, but when I select the normal Pulse wave the width, somehow, is still modulated by the PWM's LFO. Next, the VCA attenuator has absolutely no effect on the amplitude what-so- ever. The LED's for Bank D and Patch 4 are constantly lit. Occationally, when I turn on the power all of the LED's stay on. As for the Effects, when turned off it still sounds as if the Ensemble is on. The Speed/Intensity knob only works in certain possitions and with certain effects. That about sums up the problems that I am having with it. I know that most problems seem to occur on account of battery leakage and I have not gotten to inspect that area fully yet. I do know, however, that the battery has been replaced and for some reason the large black ground wire was not resoldered to the board. It was just taped off...seems rather odd to me. This has a midi retrofit (from Korg)and I didn't know if that was the reason for not resoldering the ground wire. By the way, does anyone know where I might find an owner's manual for the retrofit? Anyway, I figure, aside from double checking for trace damage, that replacing the pots and switches is a good place to start, but I thought I would get some other opinions before dismantling the synth. Any ideas? Thanks, Meathooke
