Re: AW: [PolySix] Problems with the 74LS08

2004-02-02 by st@rinass.de

Hi Ullrich,

the 7408 isnt the problem. If i remove the 5114 RAM and use the 764HC08
Series, then the Polysix works without Patch-Key-LED flicker. If i dont
remove the RAM and turn the Variable Resistor right-located on the Power
Supply, then the Buttons will also stop to flicker, but only unless i
dont turn any Knobs. If i turn a Knob or press six Keys on the
Keyboard, then the Keys will start to flicker again and i hear some
distorted sound on my Speakers (somewhat like a bad connected audio
cable).

The newest problem is that my Octave and Wavefom-Switches doesnt work
any longer, the Poly produces only PW-Sound at 4". The blue Cable and
their connectors on the Knob-Board and the KLM-367 are ok. I had the
same problem a while ago, but it only happened when the RAM was removed,
now it happens when the RAM is removed -and- when it is inserted. I
strongly believe that the RAM is now definitively defect, so i have to
order a replacement part and try it again.

Thanks!

Stef
