Discussion about the Korg PolySix synthesizer

Hi all,

i have two questions: First, should it be a problem to use 74HC08/7408
instead of the original 74LS08? I\ufffdve figured out strange problems with
using them (specially with IC31). The Patch Keys 1-4 will begin to
flicker when i use one of them both. Has the Microcontroller proably
problems with the HC-Series? The traces are ok, afaik.

My 2nd quesion is a problem with the RAM. I cannot store programs, but
the "manual"-Program doesn\ufffdt get lost, even when i turn the power off
and -even- when i turn the knobs as long the power is off. Any Ideas?
