Re: [PolySix] KLM-366B Replacement

2015-12-16 by <backshall1@bellsouth.net>

It’s very unlikely that you will find a replacement KLM-366B, so one way or another it will have to be repaired. Are you talking about LFO to VCO and Pitch Bend problems that affect all voices or just one voice? Did the tech fix anything? Where were the traces pulled out? Which board? Where on the KLM-366B can you see corrosion?

Subject: [PolySix] KLM-366B Replacement

Hey gang,

Just got my Polysix back from the tech, one of my voices is dead, thought it might have been the chip. And my LFO to VCO and pitch bend were not working as well. Thought it might have been a simple connection problem. But it seems that it was neither. In fact the tech said that a lot of traces were pulled out, I guess this happened when the Polysix was being fixed from a previous battery leak before I bought, and that there is still corrosion on the KLM-366B board hence my voice problem and problem with the LFO to VCO.

He suggested that I would need a new voice board, the KLM-366B. And I was hoping this group could help lead me in the right direction in finding a replacement board seeing as how they seem very hard to come by. Thanks for your time!
