Yeah, I heard you can do i similar mod with the original PSU, without the Kiwisix PSU upgrade. Maybe I will give this a shot. Now I'm happy using noise reduction.

Yep, Polysixes are noisy, no question.The Kiwisix PSU Upgrade includes additional earthing which improves this noise considerably (I didn't do before and after measurements but I'd say it was something like a 6dB improvement)
