Yeah, that's pretty normal. There's about a million topics on here regarding noise reduction. Some members have done mods bypassing the effects section which seemingly improves the SNR drastically as I understand it (though haven't looked into it in detail), and have been generous enough to share their findings and give details on how to. Relatively straightforward to implement. There's other stuff you can try as well, have a read!

Not "a lot" like in "totally unusable", just more than other gear and synths I have/had (Kawai SX-240, Roland SH-09, JX8P, Roland MC-202).Hi group
I purchased a polysix recently. It's awesome, I love it, there's only one problem: There's a lof ot background white nosie.
When playing it doesn't bother me, but when recording, especially when recording multiple tracks and the noise is multiplied. The nosie is not constant on the output, if I for example modulate the vca it goes away when the vca is pulled low.
Does this sound like common behaviour for a polysix? Or is mine expecially noisy?Anyone had success reducing the noise? Common ground for all boards is one tip I have read about.
Anyway, now I've been testing noise eliminiation in my DAW with izotope rx3 demo, works like a charm, but it's a bit expensive...Regards/Fredrik
