It sounds like a multiplexer problem. I have encountered something similar on Prophet-5 and some Oberheim synths, but not on Polysix, but it might still happen. It means that some CD40xx chips is partially faultly.

So here's the knob problem I'm having. Anyone heard anything like this? It seems to me like the digital locator signal from the knobs is hitting some sort of grounding issue. I really don't think I've ever noticed this before. It only happens on a few knobs. Cutoff, PW, resonance, EQ intensity. So far I've found anyways.
