Re: [PolySix] D8048C 131 CPU chip

No you can't use just any 8048C-nnn as replacement.
There's program code in the chip.
The number tells which program it contains (I guess manufacturer reference numbers) so you need the same number.

Perhaps someone on the list can provide you with replacements though.
I think I read somewhere that there are flashable versions of these.

Peter

Subject: [PolySix] D8048C 131 CPU chip

  Hi everyone,
I have P6 with dead CPU chip (at least that I've been told at the repair shop)
Anyways, my question is, can I use D8048C 131 chip as a replacement CPU?
If not, any information where I can find it would be really appreciated.
  Thank you
  Alex
