Good call! I think we forget that sometime it can be the little obvious things that cause 'malfunctions'. Sounds like you got yourself a bargain there then:) Frank -----Original Message----- From: comraderecords <comraderecords@bigpond.com> [mailto:comraderecords@bigpond.com] Sent: 08 February 2003 03:31 To: PolySix@yahoogroups.com Subject: [PolySix] Before going too far, check your connectors! Hi all, I recently bought a malfunctioning Polysix and after having a look inside I noticed the battery had already been removed and there was some minor battery leakage on the circuit board. Well, I was just about to take the circuit board out and begin repairing traces when I noticed a loose connector between 2 of the circuit boards. I plugged it in properly, put the hood back down, switched it on and it all worked perfectly!! All I had to do then was clean the circuit board & install a new battery. So my message to anyone with a malfunctioning synth is to check all the connectors are properly fastened before doing any serious repair work!!!
